On Site System Installer

DigitalOptometrics is an optometric telemedicine company focused on performing comprehensive remote eye examinations. We are a rapidly growing technology company expanding throughout the United States and Canada. Tele-Optometry by DigitalOptometrics utilizes new advancements in technology making comprehensive eye exams convenient to patients. As an important step in our implementation process, we are adding an installer to our team or existing installers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact each location prior to installation to validate the details of the install.
  • Upon arrival, explain what you will be doing during the install to onsite management.
  • Based on scope of work for location, arrive with the necessary supplies and tools to perform the job in a timely manner.
  • Communicate discrepancies to your supervisor and/or project manager.
  • Return the cleanliness of the location to its original condition.
  • Remove all trash from the work site.
  • Take photos of final work product (high quality smart phone photos).
  • Possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and perform oral communication in English.
  • Install PC based systems which enable machinery to communicate.
  • Mount large LCD Televisions to a wall of sheetrock, concrete, brick, etc.
  • Assemble medical instrument stands.
  • Use a volt/ohm meter.
  • Understand a LAN assembly and configuration.
  • Test and troubleshoot connectivity issues within the LAN.
  • Change network adapter settings and adapting between USB, Serial, Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc.
  • Understand various types of connectivity such as USB, USB Mini, VGA, HDMI, Display, Mini Display, etc.
  • Install and configure webcams and speaker systems for video conferencing.
  • Assemble and configure PC's
  • Create basic A/B data switches.
  • Connect machinery controllers.
  • Perform file backups, test and evaluate existing network systems.
  • Connect devices to server systems that communicate on a network.
  • Understand how to configure port settings for Serial, USB and Ethernet communication.
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Diagnose, report and troubleshoot interface connectivity or communication issues.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgement in execution of duties.
  • Plan and organize in a reliable and consistent manner.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with management, staff members and third parties such as clients and vendors.
  • Maintain a high professional corporate image at all times with third parties.
