Accounting Manager

DigitalOptometrics is a fast-growing, innovative company that provides a comprehensive eye exam to patients using our patented remote technology. We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting department at our Lake Success office. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all accounting functions in the office, in addition to financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in all accounting activities within an office. The candidate must have exceptional time management and organization skills, as well as successfully balance progress on strategic projects with day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform financial analysis including actual performance compared to budget
• Daily posting of cash and banking reconciliations as part of monthly accounting close and other periodic reviews
• Import of payable files and entry of invoices into Accounting System
• Selection of AP invoices, seting up new vendors into system
• Preparation of equipment invoices and Purchase orders
• Weekly preparation and sending of service invoices
• Monthly preparation and review of AMEX transactions
• Ensure business office procedures support accurate and compliant financial statement reporting
• Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the annual financial statement audit

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business operations and/or accounting and/or business analysis
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups and charts.
• Agility in learning various software including Accounting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
• High level of flexibility, agility and responsiveness in meeting deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
